Counselling Young People

Learn healthy coping mechanisms for life’s challenges

The teenage years can be an incredible adventure filled with self-discovery, but they can also present numerous challenges that can leave a young person feeling overwhelmed and confused. Whether it’s the pressures of school, navigating friendships, or coping with difficult life events such as a bereavement or parental separation, a young person may find it difficult to process their emotions and may resort to unhealthy coping mechanisms.

As a parent or carer, witnessing your child experience emotional distress can be deeply distressing for you as well. The search for the right support and guidance for your child might feel overwhelming or even bewildering. As an experienced professional, I am here to help support a young person to understand their thoughts and emotions, ultimately alleviating their distress.

a safe & empathetic environment

feel heard, validated & understood.

In my practice, I create a safe and empathic environment where a young person can feel heard, validated and understood. I firmly believe in the power of providing a safe space for adolescents to express themselves openly and honestly, without fear of judgement. By exploring their inner world, together we can identify healthy coping strategies and develop valuable tools and skills for managing challenges. This process fosters resilience and resourcefulness, empowering the young person to face adversities with newfound confidence and increased self-esteem.
